About This Policy
Ice Fishing Live is a cozy winter-activity companion that helps you pick an outdoor adventure, log what you did, and keep a personal seasonal journal. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with information when you use it. It covers the Ice Fishing Live Android application and the companion website at fish0014.com, both operated by Ice Fishing Live developed by VMNS Techno Labs ("we" or "us").
The short version: most of what you create in the app — your journal, photos, checklists, favorites, streak, badges — stays on your device. The small amount of information that does leave your device is limited to what's needed to count installs, measure where people discovered the app, and show you the privacy notice on first launch.
Data We Handle
We've kept this list short on purpose. When you first open the app and on subsequent launches, the app works with the following information:
The App Generates an Anonymous Identifier
The first time you open the app, it generates a random anonymous identifier and stores it on your device. We send this identifier along with the analytics events described below so we can count unique installs without knowing who you are. Clearing app data from your device settings (or uninstalling and reinstalling) generates a new one.
The App Reads Your Device Language
The app detects your device's language and region setting to display content appropriately. This is a read of a system setting — no profile is built from it.
The App Uses an Advertising Identifier for Attribution
On Android, your device maintains an advertising identifier managed by Google Play Services (the Google Advertising ID). The app reads this identifier and shares it — together with the anonymous identifier above — with our attribution partner, AppsFlyer, so we can understand how users discover Ice Fishing Live (for example, which marketing channel or campaign led to an install).
- What is shared: the advertising identifier, the anonymous identifier, the attribution source (e.g., organic or a specific ad network), the campaign name, and the Play Store install referrer.
- What AppsFlyer itself collects: AppsFlyer additionally receives standard device data (IP address, device model, operating system version, app version) as part of its normal operation — refer to the AppsFlyer Privacy Policy for the full list.
- Your control: You can reset the advertising identifier or turn off ad personalization at any time under Android Settings → Google → Ads.
The App Includes a Built-in Browser for Legal and Support Pages
This Privacy Policy and the Support page are shown inside the app through a built-in browser window. The built-in browser doesn't collect any additional data beyond what's already described on this page. Websites loaded inside it behave like they would in any browser — they may set cookies (including third-party cookies) and use local storage on your device. You can clear cookies and any browser-held data at any time by clearing the app's data in your Android settings.
The App Can Send You a Daily Reminder (Device-Only)
If you turn on the Daily reminder toggle in Settings, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely by your device — no push server, no remote token, and nothing leaves your phone to make them work. You can turn the reminder off at any time in Settings, or revoke the notification permission in your Android system settings.
Support and Bug Reports Are Voluntary
The app's Support page lets you send us a message or report a bug through a contact form opened in the built-in browser. When you choose to submit a request, you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- An optional subject line
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional attachment — either a photo or video captured with your device's camera, or an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, PDF, or log file) chosen through your device's file picker
This information is only sent when you press Send message, and we use it solely to reply to you and investigate the issue. The app does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's system camera app when you pick that option from the file picker.
Your Journal, Photos, and Preferences Stay on Your Device
Everything you create inside Ice Fishing Live is stored locally on your device using an on-device database and preference store. This includes your journal entries, attached photos, packing checklists, custom checklists, favorite tips, spotted wildlife, streak state, earned badges, theme, units, reminder time, and all other settings. None of this content is transmitted to our servers or any third party. The "location label" field in a journal entry is a free-text note you type yourself — the app does not read GPS or any location sensor.
Data Retention
Your on-device content is kept for as long as the app is installed. The anonymous identifier persists on the device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. The advertising identifier is managed by Google Play Services and can be reset at any time in Android settings. Attribution and install-referrer data held by AppsFlyer is retained according to the AppsFlyer Privacy Policy. Tapping Delete all data in the app's Settings immediately and irreversibly removes every journal entry, photo, favorite, streak record, and badge state from your device.
Third Parties and Sharing
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's required to make attribution work. The only third party that receives data from the app is:
- AppsFlyer — mobile attribution and marketing analytics. Receives the advertising identifier, anonymous identifier, attribution source, campaign name, install referrer, and standard device telemetry. AppsFlyer Privacy Policy.
The advertising identifier itself is managed by Google Play Services on your device — see the Google Privacy Policy.
Any web pages loaded inside the app's built-in browser (for example, this Privacy Policy page and the Support page) are served from our website at fish0014.com, which uses standard web server logs for operational purposes. We do not sell or rent personal data to any third party.
Your Control
You have straightforward, device-level ways to manage everything described above:
- Reset your advertising identifier at Android Settings → Google → Ads, or opt out of ad personalization there.
- Reset the anonymous identifier by clearing app data from Android Settings → Apps → Ice Fishing Live → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
- Turn off reminders in the app's Settings screen, or revoke the notification permission at Android Settings → Apps → Ice Fishing Live → Permissions → Notifications.
- Delete everything you've stored in the app via Settings → Delete all data, which wipes the on-device journal, photos, checklists, favorites, streak, and badges. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.
- Clear cookies and browser-held data from the built-in browser by clearing the app's data in Android settings.
- Request deletion of anything we hold on our side — this is limited to support correspondence you've voluntarily sent us — by emailing [email protected].
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under regional laws (such as the EU's GDPR or California's CCPA), including rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us at the address below to exercise any of these rights.

Security Measures
Network traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS. On-device content is stored in the app's private storage area, which Android isolates from other apps. We limit the amount of personal information leaving your device to the minimum described above precisely because the most reliable way to protect data is not to collect it in the first place.
Children's Privacy
Ice Fishing Live is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and personal information about them has reached us, please write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature that changes what the app collects. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
